Qimaavik Family Violence Shelter provides 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis intervention to women and children fleeing violence. Clients are able to access support services for trauma and displacement caused by violence and abuse. Qimaavik means, “a place to run”. It is a 21-bed facility with a maximum capacity of 26 women and children.

Sivummut Womens Homeless Shelter began offering support and services to women and their children experiencing homelessness in 2011. Clients are able to reside in this facility while receiving support and advocacy to address their individual needs and housing barriers. Sivummut mean, “moving forward” and is a four-bedroom 12 bed home.
